Physical Education

The focus of the P.E. program for Prep and Grade 1 this term has been to develop basic motor skills through a variety of activities. They have been introduced to games with simple rules and have used different equipment to practise their catching and throwing. There has been an emphasis on participating and playing safely.


Grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

This second term we will be including Cross Country skills. Skills used in major games such as throwing, batting and catching will be dealt with. Major games to be covered this term include Netball, Soccer and T-Ball. Tactics, moving around the playing field and playing as a team member are included in lessons.  Lunchtime Cross Country practise this term will be held on the school oval.  Extra House Points can be earned at practise.

Upcoming Events

Rugby Gala Day November 5th at Rosebud Football ground.
We are sending one boys' team and one girls' team .
Melbourne Storm will be running the day. They will have a skills session in the morning and then Tackle Rugby in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to come on the day. Notes have been sent home. Melbourne Storm run this event on the Peninsula each year.
Year 3 Sport
The Year threes have been split into four groups and will participate in different games each week on a rotation roster. The children will be learning the rules to games and developing some basic tactics. This is an opportunity for this age group to be involved in games using their motor skills and playing with their friends.



Local golf Coach Peter Crocker came to our school and ran some free golf clinics for some of our classes. He spent a lot of time showing the children how to stand and how to hold the golf club.
